Links
One of the things that helps photographers master and enjoy their medium today is the huge number of websites that are dedicated to the art & practice of photography. The followings are some of the websites that I see useful to learn nature photography, while other are some of my favorite photographers:
Nature Photographers Network
Although there are many photography forums around but I see NPN as one of the best. There are many nature photographers here from around the world who share one common goal; the love and passion of nature photography. I have been a member of this great forum for more than three years now and I learned many things. Sharing photo experiences and discussing the beauty of our planet can be found here.
John Shaw
One of today's masters in nature photography. I know John mainly through his superb books. If you are beginner or amateur in nature photography I strongly recommend buying one of his books, you will find great info.
George Stocking
Is photography an art form? If you want the answer, then look at George's images and you will see how he composes his images. As nature photographers, we don't create our art (like sculptures, painters, etc) rather we depend on mother nature to give us our subject. It is composition that distinguish normal photographer from artist photographer.
Anil Rao
One of my friends from NPN. Anil differs from many photographers that he concentrates on a subject for a long time before he moves to another theme. I like the way Anil capture and select his images, there is a secret behind them...I enjoy staring at them for long time. Through his Pentax 67 camera (I have similar one too) he produced superb photos. I especially like his stone and sea collection.
Joe Cornish
A well-known British landscape photographer who excels in using his view camera to capture extraordinary images. I learned a lot from Joe especially from his book titled "Light & the Art of Landscape Photography".
Charles Cramer
I like to photograph trees especially those aged ones. There is a beauty in the shapes of trees and if you want to see such beauty...don't miss Charles Cramer's fine images.
